Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was a bit of a mixed experience. The rooms felt more like a hostel with private rooms, much smaller than expected. Although the beds were not very spacious, they were clean and had a kitchenette. The lack of air conditioning or even a fan was a downside, especially for a quiet room request. The location, just off Polk St, was great for exploring Union Square and nearby attractions, yet the area had an unpleasant side. The on-site manager was a plus. The dining experience with scones was okay. Overall, the facilities were basic but clean.
I had a comfortable stay at the hotel, with the quietest room option providing a peaceful experience. However, the room rates were higher than expected. The location was convenient with easy access to major routes and great dining options nearby.
Coming all the way from the UK after an exhausting 11-hour flight, I found the hotel's location to be spectacular, just off Polk St with great little restaurants and bars nearby and less than 15 minutes walk from Union Square. However, the area felt a bit on the seedy side with many people living on the street. The service was exceptional, with a polite and helpful receptionist making up for the initial difficulty in finding the check-in. The rooms, while clean, could benefit from some upgrades like double glazed windows and a fan for cooling. The hotel's proximity to a street full of bars and restaurants made for a lively atmosphere, yet it was a bit unpleasant due to the number of homeless individuals in the vicinity.
